Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 June 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Limbiq3D ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects your personal information when you use the Limbiq3D iOS application (the "App") and the website at limbiq3d.com (the "Site").

We are based in New South Wales, Australia, and are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the "Privacy Act") and the Australian Privacy Principles ("APPs"). This policy describes how we meet our obligations under those laws.

2. The information we collect

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities.

3D scan data. When you use the App to capture a 3D scan, the scan (a 3D mesh and associated measurements and metadata) is created using your device's LiDAR sensor. Scans may relate to a person's body — for example a limb, foot, torso or head. Information about an individual's body or health is "sensitive information" (specifically, health information) under the Privacy Act and is given additional protection. See section 4 for how scan data is handled.

Information you provide to us. When you submit a bug report or contact us, you may provide your name and email address, the contents of your message, device and app details (device model, operating system version, app version), and files you choose to attach — which may include scan packages, photographs, and diagnostic logs.

Information collected automatically. When you use the Site we may collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and pages visited, including via analytics provided by our hosting provider. We do not use this to identify you personally.

Purchases. In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

3. How we collect your information

We collect information directly from you — when you create a scan on your device, submit a bug report, or contact us — and automatically through your use of the Site. We do not buy personal information from third parties.

4. How scan data is handled

  • Scans are processed on your device. Capturing, viewing, measuring and enhancing scans happens locally on your iPhone or iPad.
  • Local and iCloud storage. Scans and the models derived from them are stored on your device and, where you enable Apple iCloud, in your own iCloud account under your control. We do not have access to your iCloud.
  • Scan data only reaches us if you choose to send it. A scan is only transmitted to us when you voluntarily attach it to a bug report, so that our team can investigate the issue you have reported.

5. Sensitive information and consent

Because scan data may be health information, we only collect it with your consent. By choosing to attach a scan to a bug report, you consent to us collecting and handling that scan for the purpose of diagnosing and resolving the issue you have reported. You do not have to attach a scan to submit a bug report.

6. Why we use your information

We use personal information to operate and provide the App and Site; investigate, diagnose and fix bugs and technical problems you report; respond to your support enquiries; maintain the security and integrity of our systems; and comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use scan data for advertising.

7. Disclosure to service providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate Limbiq3D. They may handle personal information on our behalf, only for the purposes above:

  • Hosting: Vercel (website and application backend)
  • Database: Neon (stores bug-report records)
  • File storage: Cloudflare R2 (stores attachments you submit, such as scans and photos)
  • Email delivery: Resend (sends bug-report notifications and support replies)

8. Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers store and process information outside Australia, including in the United States. By submitting information to us (including any scan data you attach to a bug report), you acknowledge that your information may be stored or processed overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your information consistently with the APPs.

9. Security and data breaches

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We are subject to the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act. If a data breach involving your personal information is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by law.

10. Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete, by contacting us (section 12). We will respond within a reasonable period. In limited circumstances we may decline a request as permitted by the Privacy Act, and will explain why.

11. Retention and deletion

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law, and then take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. Bug-report records and their attachments are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate and resolve the issue and to maintain a record of support history.

12. Contact and complaints

If you have a question, an access or correction request, or a privacy complaint, contact us:

  • Email: support@limbiq3d.com
  • Post: 129–135 Otho Street, Inverell, NSW 2360, Australia

We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within a reasonable period (generally within 30 days). If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at limbiq3d.com/privacy, with the "last updated" date shown above.
